In life you will have to make decisions that will allow for you to have a better living outcome. It is important that we have proper guidelines that will lead us to a healthier and fulfilling life.
However, I am aware of how difficult this may be. For many years I struggled with remaining consistent on my transformation journey of losing weight. Due to this struggled it caused for me to decline in my physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
As a result. I have decided to create 10 ways to live a healthier life:
1. BE YOUR OWN BODY GOALS
Many of us have people that we admire and may consider them as our “body goals”. It is perfectly okay to have someone that you look to that you admire. However, it is imperative that you do not idolize that person. Throughout my journey I had to learn that everyone’s body is different and that my body will transform the way that it needs to.
2. SET SPECIFIC GOALS
When our goals aren’t specific is allows for anything in your life to become permissible. That means, perhaps you will become more lenient on your goals. For example, if you set a goal to lose weight by a certain date but do not specify how much, you can become more prone to being inconsistent. What has helped me is setting a specific goal of how much I would like to lose along with the weight. By doing so, it allows for me to be more consistent in my weightless efforts.
3. THINK POSITIVE AND FOCUS ON GRATITUDE
Allow your mind to only think positive thoughts. Whenever a negative thought captures your attention, try think the opposite of that thought. What has helped me is having a journal and practicing my gratitude by reciting it daily in my mind and sometimes aloud.
4. CHALLENGE YOUR MIND
Take your mind and body to a new level that it has not experienced. By doing so it will allow for you to continuously grow and experience change.
5. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS (STRESS/ ANXIETY)
It is important that you identify they triggers that heightens your stress level and anxiety. Once those have been identified you can get the source or root of the problem so that you can utilize the most effective coping skill.
6. HAVE AN ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP
Having someone alongside your journey is extremely beneficial. Your accountability partner should be someone whom is also on their wellness journey as well. You all will help other fulfill and stick you’re your goals.
7. ALWAYS BE AWARE OF YOUR "WHY"
Just remember when you started and allow that to be your drive.
8. SURROUND YOURSELF AROUND POSITIVE PEOPLE
9. BE MORE ACTIVE
Exercise is scientifically proven to improve one’s well-being. Throughout your daily routine, try to be more active than you were the next day.
10. GET ADEQUATE SLEEP
Sleep is important because it allows your body to replenish from a long day of being active- physically, mentally, and emotionally.
